People often ask what gear I shoot with. If you're curious, here is my invetory of gadgets and why I have chosen them. If you have any questions or want some purchase advices, please email me! I will gladly give you my opinion.

Nikon D600

This is my second Nikon body. Why I chose Nikon? I liked the ergonomics of the D5100 over the other options back when I got my first camera (Canon is just as good). I absolutely love this camera. It is good at at low-light shooting and can produce some astonishing results when you put good glass in front of it. Some built-in features like double or multiple exposures have allowed me to be more creative. Mirror Lockup and its handy shortcuts and buttons layout makes it a nifty camera. The screen on top is really handy too. It's a full frame sensor. With that said, it takes in more light than smaller sensors (better low light performance at high ISO). I have added a battery grip to it since I do quite a lot of portraits and find the vertical shutter button useful; especialy with the 70-200mm on.

Nikon Lenses

Nikon Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR I

My go-to lens for almost any photoshoot. I have used it for quite a bit now and must say it is my favorite lens. It can be bulky and inconvenient for street photography, but it is super effective. I chose the VRI version iver the VRII because it has some AF-L buttons in the front and the price is quite different. Highly recommended if you're into portraits.

Nikon Nikkor 24-85 f/3.5-4 VR

This is a full-frame kit lens. I have purchased it just to cover this focal length in case I need to. It has acceptable quality and good VR. It is light and good for traveling. It's quite bad in low light. I would say it's good for its price though.

Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.4

purchased this lens in 2012 and played with it in both cameras. It is a lens I would walk around with and get great results 8/10 times. It's good for the price and produces great bokeh at 1.4. I would recommend this version although it can be a bit slow focusing sometimes. Good for street photography.

Fujifilm FinePix X100

This gorgeous camera is the best thing that ever happened to me. It is compact, has an APS-C sensor (like some DSLRs) and it is amazing for street photography (which I want to get into). It can produce some really sharm Images and it can be used entirely in Manual Mode. It has an Electronic Viewfinder and Optical as well. It is easy to use and good in descent light. It can be annoying in low light but three are some tricks and workarounds. It's a camera I would recommend to someone who knows the basics of photography and knows how to shoot in Manual. I wouldn't recommend it as an standalone camera because it has a 35mm fixed lens (due to APS-C crop factor). This can be limiting for some people with only one camera. 9/10 times i get a pleasing shot.
